SUZAN FETE, Suzan Co-Founded Renaissance Theaterworks in 1993. She is a past President of the Board and currently serves as Artistic Director. Suzan has over 20 years of experience as an actor, director, and producer in professional theater. Past directing projects for Renaissance Theaterworks include TOPDOG/UNDERDOG, THE SHAPE OF THINGS, BLACKBIRD, NEAT, THE ROAD TO MECCA and THE BELLE OF AMHERST. Suzan lives in Wauwatosa with her husband Jeff and son Matthew.
JULIE SWENSON, Julie became Renaissance's Producing Director in 2001 having served on the Board of Directors since 1997. She received a BA in theatre from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, IL. She became a proud member of the Actors' Equity Association in 1986 while working in New York City. Julie is the host of New Home Building Today. Julie will be performing in Spring 2015 as Masha in Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike with Forward Theater Company in Madison, WI.
LISA RASMUSSEN, Lisa started as Renaissance Theaterworks' Development Director with excitement in the summer of 2008. Recent experience includes stage management for ComedySportz-Milwaukee and more than five years in marketing. Lisa received her BA in Theater and Psychology from Cardinal Stritch University in 2003. Lisa is a member of The Association of Fundraising Professionals. She loves living in Bay View with husband Jake and daughter Anna.
MALLORY METOXEN, Mallory is the Artistic Associate for Renaissance Theaterworks (RTW) & holds degrees in Theater and Business from Cardinal Stritch University. She has directed THE UNDERSTUDY for RTW, ARABIAN NIGHTS and SURE THING for RTW at InterACT, LUCKY CHARMS at The Milwaukee Artist Resource Network, IN LOVE…YET AGAIN! for The Alchemist and OLD GARDE with InHerOwnRight Productions. She has assistant directed for Renaissance Theaterworks (NEAT, HONOUR and IRENA’S VOW), Skylight Music Theatre (A DAY IN HOLLYWOOD, A NIGHT IN THE UKRAINE), Milwaukee Chamber Theatre (JEEVES IN BLOOM and UNDERNEATH THE LINTEL) and most recently at Alchemist Theatre (KING LEAR). Mallory is directing PARTS OF SPEECH by Janet Burroway for RTW’s Play Development Series: Brink! (), THE EFFECT OF GAMMA RAYS ON MAN-IN-THE-MOON MARIGOLDS at Splinter Group running and one of the productions for Milwaukee Chamber Theater’s Young Playwrights Festival in March 2015.
KAT TOW, Kat joined Renaissance Theaterworks as Marketing & PR Director in summer 2014. She received her BA in Theatre and Gender Studies from Lawrence University in 2011. She has worked as a stage manager & production director at Lawrence University, and was most recently the Social Media Coordinator for the Beloit International Film Festival and the Marketing Intern at the Janesville PAC. She lives in Bay View with her husband and two dogs.
Renaissance Theaterworks was founded in 1993 by Suzan Fete, Marie Kohler (Playwright in Residence), Raeleen McMillion, Jennifer Rupp, and Michele Traband. Around Marie's kitchen table, these five "Renaissance Women" conceptualized the theatre company that Milwaukee audiences have come to treasure.
